We believe that the first step to providing outstanding pet care is to hire a great team of professionals!  Our goal is to attract a diverse, experienced and committed group of people who are passionate about caring for animals, and enjoy working at Nose, Toes & Tails.  Whether part-time or full-time, we hire individuals who willing to make a commitment to our team and to our clients.

We also employ a comprehensive business management system that documents and communicates our policies, operating procedures, and business practices to ensure consistency, reliability, and resilience in our business operations.

When it comes to the care of your pet-family, there is nothing more important than earning and maintaining your trust.  We start with the basics of safety & security and build from there.  Each of our employees undergoes a multi-step interview process, skills tests, on-the-job training, and a thorough background screening via PetProCheck.  


We respect your privacy and information security**. Each of our employees signs a confidentiality agreement with Nose, Toes & Tails Pet Care. 

Our software and online applications employ extensive digital security measures to protect the personal information contained within your online client portal. For physical security, we implement a coded key-labelling process, and secure key storage system, and we exercise common sense home security measures while visiting your home.

Did we mention communication? Yes we did!  It is our policy to communicate (all the fun stuff and all the important stuff) after each and every pet care visit!   We want you to know that your pets and your home are well cared for while you’re away.

With every client account, you have direct access to our staff and management team via chat and email.  You also have 24/7 online access, to request/change/cancel your appointments and services, day or night.  

We also use social media to communicate the pulse of the pet care community and events happening close to home.  On Facebook, Instagram and in our Newsletters, we share pet care tips and tricks, local pet lost and found reports, local events for you and your pups to enjoy together. 

We love sharing the interesting and heart-warming happenings in the daily life of a petsitter!

Nose, Toes & Tails Pet Care is a home-grown, locally-owned business in North Carolina. We live here, we work here, and we are invested in the health and welfare of our communities.

Rain or shine, weekdays & weekends, you can always reach us!  With a pre-assigned primary and back-up caregiver, you’re covered in the event of an emergency. Our online scheduling system tracks the timing and GPS location of each visit, sends daily notifications to each team member of upcoming appointments, and sends reminder notifications if a caregiver’s schedule drifts during the day.   We also conduct regular field audits and reviews to ensure compliance with our pet care procedures and standards of care. 

Our procedures have been developed to ensure that we are prepared for each visit, knowledgeable about the specific needs of your pets and your home, and that we are totally focused on the care, well-being, safety and security of your pets during each visit.

We are honored that you place your trust in us to care of your pets, and we truly value our ongoing relationships with you!   We always want to be there when you need us… for daily walks while you’re at work, if you’re unexpectedly stuck at a late event or meeting, while you’re traveling for business or pleasure… or if you need a hand while recovering from an injury, surgery, or illness.

There is no doubt about it, pet care is a highly rewarding and challenging field of practice.  We work long hours, Holidays, and weekends… in the blistering summer heat, on rainy days (and Mondays), and in the frigid winter weather.   And, WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! 

In order to consistently deliver great pet care, we are fueled by our passion to care for animals.  Each of our team members has a personal story to share about how animals improve and enrich our lives.   This is why we choose to do this work.  Each member of our pack of pet professionals delivers a level of care that comes directly from the heart!
